The food was delicious! The bf fajita meat had better flavor than the al pastor. The salsa for the chips is the best! It's not too spicy but a really good flavor. The hibiscus water I was disappointed. I asked if it was homemade, and she said yes. But I after taking a sip, I quickly realized it was the artificial powder one. Overall, the food was amazing!
Back to Aggie land and visiting Tacos La Perlita. Still good food. The only complaint is that they need better and more waiters and waitresses.ours today was so slow. they were all over the place. I know it was busy. But it took so long for her to get our drinks, then our order, and finally, the check. Think we might have to find a new place.
The food here is very good and honestly not too expensive. One thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was their Barbacoa tacos. They were very fatty and overall didn’t have the most flavor to them. The Carnitas however, were really good and would definitely recommend those. The entire building was packed so you can tell it’s a popular spot.
Their carnitas were tasty with cilantro and onions! Their salsa was full of flavor and warm chips! We had their queso flameado and it was da' bomb! Enough for 4 people to share!
We've been looking for a great Mexican restaurant in College Station and I think La Perlita is the place! The waiter was friendly and attentive up until the last 30 minutes or so. We saw he was very busy cleaning and all though so we didn't so much mind. The food was excellent! Everything had great flavor. I for the enchiladas verdes which was nice and cheesy with a hint of spice. My wife got the chicken burrito which was absolutely massive. She said she wished the rice was on the side because it was a lot. My kids got the chicken nuggets and burger and had no complaints. We also started with the queso which was yummy as you'd expect. The salsa's have great flavor and spice. We will be back!
Great food for an even better price. Not bad for $14 even. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the establishment and seated right away. This was the best Mexican food I've had in a while. Hope to come back again.
Food, for the most part, is good. But, I would rather be served Less avocado or No avocado than to be served avocado that looks like this.
Chips and salsa were really good (and unique). Ordered the Fajita Quesadilla, which was fairly good, but the plate was served with ICE COLD beans and rice (as well as the other plate at the table). Server did not seem like she wanted to be there; quite inattentive (had to be asked twice for more chips/salsa, the second time waving her down from across the room as she stood for 2-3 minutes in the kitchen), and lacking in listening skills (asked for water, no lemon, and got water with a lime... is that even a thing? Also only brought one set of replacement beans/rice). Probably not going to return, considering the ample number of alternatives.
